EXCURSION OVERVIEW and what we explore:

You will experience the region's most magnificent valleys on this fantastic journey. Ourika Valley, Sidi Fares, Asni and Imlil Valley.Your guide will pick you up at 9 a.m. from your hotel or riad and take you east of Marrakech in the direction of the High Atlas, passing through various towns before traveling along the Ourika Valleys, which spans around 30 kilometers over the foothills of the High Atlas.

DAY TRIP FROM MARRAKECH 4 VALLEYS (OURIKA VALLEY - SIDI FARES – ASNI – IMLIL VALLEY)

This is one of the most gorgeous drives as the road parallels the flowing Ourika River, which, despite its high water levels, never dries out and offers excellent whitewater rafting in the summer. We will stop for mint tea beside a mountain stream somewhere in the valley before traveling off-road into the Atlas Mountains' foothills. We will follow this route at a leisurely speed, and if there is a local Berber market in one of the villages on the day we go, we will stop to see it. We will be able to stop whenever you like for photographs or information as we go through communities.

GUIDED EXCURSION.

We will continue to ascend until you reach an altitude of over 2,000 meters and leave the main route. Then, we will go through a historic, partially paved Berber path to reach the valley of Sidi Fares, a genuine region renowned for its apple trees. The approach to the greener Asni valley is dotted with fruit trees. We will continue driving to Imlil, where lunch will be served at a small guesthouse. After lunch, you embark on a 1–1.5-hour (optional) guided walk to Aremd village (1900 meters). On the journey, you will pass ancient Berber settlements and Jbel Toubkal, the highest peak in Northern Africa (4167 meters). With the winter, Toubkal will be blanketed in snow, making it a stunning sight to behold from a distance. Return transport to Marrakech. Please bring walking shoes if you choose to participate in the optional stroll. Guide and lunch can be paid locally.
